Reiki For Animals and People

Reiki is a Japanese technique for relaxation that also promotes healing. It can be administered hands-on or hands-off the body, as well as at a distance. It is based on the idea that an unseen “life force” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If a person’s, or animal’s “life force” is compromised then they are more likely to become ill, or if the “life force” is high, then they are more capable of being healthy and happy.

The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words – Rei meaning “God’s Wisdom” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki means “spiritually guided life force energy.”

Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. The ability is passed on during an “attunement” given by a Reiki master and enables the student to tap into the universal supply of energy. Although Reiki is not affiliated with any religion, it can be considered spiritual in nature because the practitioner is working with the universal “life force energy”.

Reiki, like Healing Touch for Animals®, is a bio-field energy based modality and is very safe and effective for animals as well as people.
